APOD 1.4

This weeks posting is called the "Equinox Sunset." This photo of the sunset was taken refelecting off the waters of of Lake Balaton. However, this photo also has a special significance. The photo was snaped on the Equinox on September 22. This marked the astronomical change of seasons where the population experienced nearly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. In this photo the sun is setting due west and heading south across the celestrial equator. Photos of the sunset is extremely common, but I feel that every photo of the setting sun is amazing. Especially this photo, taken on this amazing day in Benedictine Archabbey of Tihany, Hungry.
