This amazing Apod photo of the day may give some people the impression that the sun is going out of control. However, the photo was taken on March 30th by the Solar Dynamics Observatory. This photo of the sun is a depiction of the flase-colored sun is the composite view that covers the extreme ultraviolet wavelengths that traces the hot plasma at temperature that reach 1 million Kelvin.
